"content": "Shipping & Delivery Last updated: August 2026 · Please have this page reviewed by an adviser qualified in Irish law before launch. Where we deliver We deliver right across Europe. What it costs Express delivery is a flat €22. Orders of €60 or more are delivered free. The charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and it is charged as a delivery option rather than as a line item, so a discount code only ever reduces the price of the goods. How long it takes Allow 5 to 7 days. Screens are prepared to order rather than picked off a shelf, which is what takes the time. We will tell you if anything is going to run longer than that. Tracking Every order ships with tracking. You get a link by email as soon as your order leaves us. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number and we will resend it. If a parcel is late, lost or damaged Until the goods reach you, the risk is ours: on a consumer sale, risk passes when you take physical possession of the goods (Consumer Rights Act 2022). If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us with your order number and we sort it out, either by replacing the order or refunding it. You do not need to chase the carrier yourself. Getting your address right Please check the delivery address before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody could take delivery, we will resend it, though a second delivery charge may apply.",

"content": "Refunds & Returns Last updated: August 2026 · Please have this page reviewed by an adviser qualified in Irish law before launch. Your 14-day right of cancellation As a consumer buying online in Ireland, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason (regulation 20 of the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, S.I. No. 484 of 2013, implementing the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU). The period starts on the day you, or a carrier you named, take possession of the goods. To cancel, send us a clear statement by email at theteam@magneticscreen.net with your order number before that period ends. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back. You may use the model cancellation form set out in Schedule 3 to S.I. No. 484 of 2013, but you do not have to. Any clear statement will do. Ask us and we will email the form to you. What you get back We refund the price you paid plus the standard delivery charge, using the same payment method you used, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or of proof that you have sent them. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard one, we refund the standard cost. You pay the cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any loss in value if you have handled the goods in a way that goes beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, which is the test in regulation 24 of S.I. No. 484 of 2013. Unrolling a screen and offering it up to the window is fine. Cutting it to size is not, because it cannot then be resold. Screens made to your measurements If we make a screen to the measurements you give us, for example through our quote service, it is made to your own specification. Under regulation 13(1)(c) of S.I. No. 484 of 2013 the right of cancellation does not apply to it once we have started making it. We say this on the quote form too, so you know before you order. This is a different thing from a standard size that you cut down yourself at home: standard sizes keep the full cancellation right until you cut them. If anything is wrong with a made-to-measure item, just contact us. Faulty or incorrect goods are always put right, and the exemption above does not touch your statutory rights over defects. If something is faulty If your order arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us and we will put it right at no cost to you. We cover return costs for faulty items. Your statutory rights apply under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, which implements Directive (EU) 2019/771. Goods must be of merchantable quality, as described and fit for purpose, and where a fault appears within twelve months of delivery it is presumed to have been there when you received it. How to start a return Email theteam@magneticscreen.net with your order number and tell us whether you are cancelling or reporting a fault. We reply with the return address and the next step. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us, so your parcel does not go astray. Consumer dispute resolution If a dispute arises we would much rather settle it with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) publishes guidance for consumers in Ireland at ccpc.ie , and the European Consumer Centre Ireland at eccireland.ie can help with a cross-border purchase elsewhere in the EU.",

"content": "Privacy Policy Last updated: August 2026 · Please have this page reviewed by an adviser qualified in Irish law before launch. This Privacy Policy explains how Magnetic Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit magneticscreen.net or buy from us. We handle your data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. Who is responsible The controller for your data is Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Magnetic Screens. Our Ireland address and our registered address are both in the footer of every page and on the About page. You can reach us about anything on this page at theteam@magneticscreen.net . What we collect and why Order data. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and order contents. We need these to perform the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We never see or store your full card number: payments go through Stripe or PayPal, who are the ones handling card data. Enquiry data. What you send us through a contact or quote form, so we can answer you. This is also contract performance, or our legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics data. Only if you consent. See the Cookie Policy for what is set and how to change your mind (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). How long we keep it Order records are kept for as long as Irish tax and company law requires, which is generally six years under section 886 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 and section 282 of the Companies Act 2014. Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no longer a reason to keep them. Who we share it with Only the parties needed to get your order to you and to run the site: our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our email provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and analytics providers. They act as processors on our instructions, or as controllers in their own right where they set their own purposes, as payment providers do. We do not sell your data. Some of these providers process data outside the EU. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Your rights You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of what was done before you withdrew it (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise any of these rights, email us at theteam@magneticscreen.net . We respond within the timeframe the GDPR requires, which is normally one month. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For us that is the Data Protection Commission (DPC), the national supervisory authority in Ireland: dataprotection.ie . If you live in another EU country you may complain to the authority where you live or where you believe the infringement happened instead. Security The site runs over HTTPS, payment pages are handled by our payment providers, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order.",

"content": "Terms & Conditions Last updated: August 2026 · Please have this page reviewed by an adviser qualified in Irish law before launch. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of magneticscreen.net and any purchase you make from Magnetic Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Our trading and registered addresses are in the footer of every page and on the About page. How a contract is formed The products shown on this site are an invitation to you to place an order, not a binding offer. Your order is the offer. A contract comes into being when we accept it, which we do by sending you an order confirmation email or by dispatching the goods, whichever happens first. Our pre-contract information duties follow Part 2 of the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 484 of 2013) and the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Prices and payment All prices are in euro and include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay: €22 flat, or free on orders of €60 and over. Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe or through PayPal. We do not store your full card details. Where a product shows a previous price alongside the current one, the previous price is the price this shop charged for that item before the current offer. If a price is obviously wrong, for example through a typing error, we will tell you before dispatch and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel at no cost. Delivery We deliver throughout Europe. Times, costs and what to do if a parcel goes missing are on the Shipping page. Cutting a screen to size Every standard screen is designed to be cut down at home to fit your own opening. Order the size above your measurement. Once you have cut a screen it cannot be returned as unwanted, though your rights over faulty goods are unaffected. Screens we make to your measurements are covered separately on the Refunds & Returns page. Your right of withdrawal You have a 14-day right of cancellation under regulation 20 of S.I. No. 484 of 2013. The full explanation, including the model cancellation form and the exemption for goods made to your specification under regulation 13(1)(c), is on the Refunds & Returns page. Faults and guarantees Your statutory rights over goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose come from the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Nothing in these terms limits those, or any other right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement. Acceptable use Please do not misuse the site: no attempting to break into it, no scraping it for a competing catalogue, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access if you do. Our liability Our liability is set out on the Limited Liability Indemnity page. Nothing there or here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the Liability for Defective Products Act 1991. Changes to these terms We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by Irish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in that would otherwise apply to you. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected. We would much rather settle any dispute with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) publishes guidance for consumers in Ireland, and the European Consumer Centre Ireland can help with a cross-border purchase within the EU.",
